Have you looked at the United States Department of Labor and Bureau of Labor Statistics web site?  This site includes various details about the labor market, including data on the highest paying jobs, projections on the fastest growing jobs, and projections on the most new jobs.  You can review the Occupational Outlook Handbook for these details and more.  On this site you can learn how people in each field spend in their day, the education required to become employed in that field, the median pay, expected projected growth rates, data for that field by state, and similar jobs.

The United States Department of Labor and Bureau of Labor Statistics is responsible for the details within the Occupational Outlook Handbook.  Grove City College has also developed materials for students to learn more about each department.

 

These Fact Sheets provide an insight into the department by providing a description of the department, specifics majors within the department, special student groups, research opportunities, prior students’ internships, and career opportunities.
