Grad Programs Orientation FAQs

Most information is available in the Grad Programs Orientation.

Here are answers to additional questions students have asked.

Q. How do I know what textbook and materials to purchase?

A. Professors may send an email to students prior to the start of class with information regarding required textbooks and other materials.

These details may also be in the Learning Management System (LMS) or TEAMS.

Q. Where can I purchase the materials for my course?

A. Follow the professor’s instructions as listed in the syllabus or in the course. In many cases, it is acceptable to purchase materials in the most convenient method for you. In addition, in most cases, Grove City College’s Bookstore offers the materials.

Q. I received a syllabus from my professor through email.  What should I do with this document?

A.  Read through this document carefully, noting course requirements, policies, and key dates. Professors may not offer reminders about graded assessments or required reading; it is the student’s responsibility to be aware of all details as listed in the syllabus.
You may also find the syllabus in the LMS.

Q. When should I first log into my online course?

A. Log into your online course as soon as you receive your credentials. You can verify that you do not have any technical issues, access the syllabus, and become familiar with the course layout and content.

Q. What if my question isn’t answered in this FAQ?

A. Check the Grad Programs Orientation for answers to more questions, such as “How do I pay my bill?” or email GraduatePrograms@gcc.edu
